As you surely know, the Hawaiian islands are simply beautiful! We hope that our conference attendees will tack on a few vacation days before and/or after the 2014 SIOP Annual Conference to explore this tropical paradise. Additionally, depending on from where you are traveling, please consider the adjustment you may need to acclimate to Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time, which is six hours behind Eastern Daylight Time.

If you plan to attend any preconference activities (the workshops, consortia, etc.) you will want to arrive by Tuesday, May 13.

For basic conference attendance, we suggest you arrive by Wednesday, May 14. The regular conference program begins bright and early the morning of Thursday, May 15 with the Opening Plenary session at 7:30am.

Be sure to book your hotel room through the night of Saturday, May 17. The conference wraps late afternoon on Saturday with the Closing Plenary session and then we will celebrate in style with our closing reception. You won't want to miss it!

The most convenient place to stay when attending the SIOP Annual Conference is the conference hotel because everything you need will be right there in the same building. Please click here for information. This year's hotel is the amazing Hilton Hawaiian Village!

We suggest you visit http://www.gohawaii.com/ for great information about the Hawaiian islands.

SIOP enjoys welcoming attendees from around the globe to our Annual Conference. Please contact siop@siop.org with your name, address and information regarding to where you would like a letter sent.

There is no official dress code for the SIOP Annual Conference. Please keep in mind that Hawaii has a warm, tropical climate. The business community in Hawaii has developed a more relaxed dress standard that for men includes Aloha shirts and slacks, and for women, tropical-weight dresses or skirts. Conference attendees are welcome to wear these or other business casual items, and lighten your luggage by keeping your formal business attire at home.

Please note that sessions this year will take place at the Hawaii Convention Center, which is a healthy walk from the headquarters hotel. We will be providing shuttle service to and from the HCC, but if you plan to walk, we suggest wearing comfortable shoes. While swim suits and flip flops are must pack items for your trip, you should probably leave them back in your hotel room while attending conference sessions!

The average daily high in Honolulu for the month of May is a sunny 85 degrees, but be sure to check the weather report before you pack your bags. Click here for more details about the beautiful weather in Hawaii.

Attendees who indicate during the registration process that they wish to receive the printed program in the mail will receive their copy by early April (allow extra time for international deliveries). Spouse/Guest and Exhibit Hall Only registrants are not eligible for a printed program.

The searchable online program is posted here.

SIOP does not keep full-text copies of all research presented at our conferences.

For abstracts and submitter information, please use the searchable program found here. You can contact the submitters directly for copies of their work. Some submitters have chosen to make their submission documents available in the searchable program, so you may find what you need without having to contact the submitter.
