Downtown

Downtown is located just southwest of the Convention Center, over any of our bridges. Light rail or bus are quick and easy rides and can take about 10 minutes to get somewhere of interest.

"If you love burgers like I love burgers, try Portland Burger. It is one of my favorite burger joints! It's a fun environment, the staff are nice and treat you well. I haven't had any food there that I didn't like! … And they serve a delicious piña colada smoothie too." Read the full recommendation…

Hollywood District

Hop on the MAX at the Convention Center station and ride 3 stops to the Hollywood Transit Center. The blue, green, and red lines all go from the Convention Center to Hollywood.

"After a movie at Hollywood Theatre, a historic, nonprofit-managed theater that originally opened in 1926, I almost always hit the back patio at Moon and Sixpence, a super low-key British-style pub where you can almost always find a seat outside." Read the full recommendation…

Alberta

Alberta is about 3 miles from the Oregon Convention Center. It's a 10-minute drive by car or a 20-minute ride on the #8 bus, plus a 5-minute walk.

"It's called the Alberta Arts District for a reason: spend some time in the art galleries and shops before or after grabbing a bite to eat. Also, the Alberta Rose Theatre hosts eclectic music, literary, and other events in an intimate setting." Read the full recommendation…

Mississippi

Uber/Lyft or the #4 bus from the Rose Quarter Transit Center to Mississippi Ave.

"You won't know until you step into [the Rebuilding Center] how you're going to build the project you have in mind—steel pipes and glass insulators for hanging your string lights, for example." Read the full recommendation…
