Join fellow attendees for a tour of the Nashville Public Library branches, with stops at the Bellevue, Madison, and Looby branches.
This tour requires a separate registration but is SOLD OUT.

CIVIL RIGHTS CENTER & VOTES FOR WOMEN CENTER TOURS

Experience Nashville’s role in the Civil Rights Movement and the fight for women’s right to vote in the library's award-winning Civil Rights Center and newly designed Votes For Women Center. Engage in how this city offered strategies and solidarity that continue to influence human rights campaigns worldwide.

This tour is a free, ticketed event. Reserving a ticket is a commitment to attend and helps us determine the number of tour guides needed. Walk-up guests will be accommodated until we reach 50 participants or the time the tour begins, whichever comes first. We recommend arriving a few minutes early, even if you have registered.

Learn about our Human Rights programming in the Civil Rights and the Votes for Women Centers. Experience Nashville Public's other unique spaces, such as the Equal Access Division, Studio NPL, the Children's Theater and the Wishing Chair Productions puppet gallery, and the Robinson Courtyard. Observe the architectural elements of the Main Library’s modern classical design as inspired by the Neues Museum in Berlin.
