EDUCATION & EVENTS
In addition to its high-quality educational programming, the PLA Conference also offers inspiring speakers, award-winning authors, and collegial networking opportunities.
Preconferences
Get a head start on learning; attend a preconference on Tuesday, February 25, or Wednesday, February 26, before the full conference opens. Full- and half-day preconferences offer in-depth education for public library administrators, managers, and staff. Each preconference requires a separate registration.
Programs & Handouts
The number one reason public library professionals attend PLA’s biennial conference is for high-quality educational programming that is both practical and relevant to their work. PLA 2020 offers more than 120 programs—including full- and half-day preconferences—specifically curated to challenge, engage, and inspire our attendees.
General Sessions & Special Events
Admission to general sessions and Big Ideas sessions is included with Full Conference registrations and Exhibits-Plus badges. Single-Day registrants can attend all general sessions and Big Ideas sessions on the day for which they’ve registered.
Author Events
Take a break and enjoy a literary meal with renowned and award-winning authors. Each author meal event requires a separately priced admission.
