We are excited to host our annual conference at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C. on October 7, 2022 - October 9, 2022.
This year's theme is "Creating an Equitable and Just Future for Black Children and Families." In the wake of the Buffalo massacre, we must acknowledge the trauma we continue to endure as a community. Now more than ever, we need to be vigilant and committed to dismantling racism for the sake of all our children. The volatile political, economic, and social climate of the past few years has exacerbated long-standing challenges in Black communities. Most importantly, the impact of these injustices on our children and families underscores our need to convene. NBCDI stands resolute and resilient with the Black community as we work together to create a more equitable and just future for our children.
NBCDI has advocated for the rights of Black people for more than 50 years, NBCDI will increase our efforts to mobilize our communities to take effective action to advance racial equity and racial justice to build the beloved communities that Black children and families deserve. NBCDI's 51st Annual Conference will bring together educators, researchers, policymakers, advocates, funders, and other stakeholders committed to our mission to improve and advance the quality of life for Black children and families through education and advocacy. We look forward to you joining us as we gather to reboot this powerful tradition.
