2021 Financial, Operations Management/IT Conference (FOM/IT)
October 19-20, 2021
Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, NV

The National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) is hosting the 2021 Financial, Operations Management/Information Technology Conference (FOM/IT), on October 19-20, 2021. The conference is currently scheduled to occur in-person, in accordance with COVID-19 safety protocols, at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, NV, and include a virtual attendance option. This is the premier operations conference for health center Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Chief Technology Officers, Chief Information Officers, operations managers and staff.

NACHC is now accepting proposals for educational sessions. Please review the criteria below prior to submitting an abstract.

  1. Theme/Content – The FOM/IT will highlight how health centers have thrived and enhanced operations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic impact. Education sessions will feature best practices and innovative solutions in the content areas below:
    • Financial Sustainability
      • Billing/Collections
      • Budgeting for In-person and Virtual Visits
      • Cost Reporting
      • Revenue Cycle
    • Telehealth/Virtual Health Operations
      • Implementing eVisits (eConsults, Virtual Visits, etc.)
      • Promising Practices for Behavioral Health and Specialty Care via Telehealth
      • Virtual Operations/Workflows
      • Incorporating newly, permanently remote staff roles (i.e. call center, scheduling, etc)
    • Leveraging Data to Inform Decisions
      • Data Strategy and Integration
      • Data Collection, Analysis, and Interpretation
      • Electronic Health Record (EHR) Reporting and Integration
      • Reporting Tools/Templates
    • COVID-19 Pandemic Operations
      • Grants Management
      • Remote Workers
      • Emergency Preparedness/Response during/post COVID
      • Vaccination Administration
      • Prevention, Testing and Treatment
  2. Faculty
    • NACHC strongly prefers and prioritizes abstracts that include faculty representing community health centers, Primary Care Associations (PCA), Health Center Controlled Networks (HCCN), Telehealth Resource Centers (TRCs), and National Training and Technical Assistance Partners (NTTAPs).
    • An education session is not a sales or vendor marketing opportunity; rather, it should provide actionable and relevant information for health center leaders to apply in a vendor-agnostic session.
    • All proposed faculty must be willing to commit and confirm their participation (in-person or virtual TBD, depending upon national COVID-19 safety protocol at the time of conference) upon submission of the abstract.
  3. Terms
    • All abstract proposals will be reviewed by a committee composed of health center leaders and industry experts, with support from NACHC staff.
    • Renumeration: Speakers qualify for a $50 discount on conference registration fees. No travel or hotel expenses will be provided to faculty accepted through the abstract submission process.
    • The deadline for proposals is Friday, May 14, 2021. We invite you to forward this email to your colleagues who might be interested in presenting at the NACHC FOM/IT Conference.
    • This is a competitive process. Due to the limited number of available education session slots, not all proposals will be accepted for conference presentation. Submitters will be notified of their abstract status by July 31, 2021.
