Registration Overview for Virtual Conference

NOTE: If you were registered for the canceled, in-person San Diego conference:

  1. The virtual conference registration is completely separate from registration for the in-person conference.
  2. However, the registration system will consider you to have attended a “previous conference”. Entering your last name and email address on the initial page of the registration form should locate your record.

Basic Registration Information & Links

Before registering for the Conference, please make yourself familiar with the material on this page, and especially the information about the Cancellation/Refund Policy.

New Registrations

If you have not yet registered and want to begin the process, mouse over the REGISTRATION tab above and click on the NEW REGISTRATION item.

REGISTERING A SPOUSE/DOMESTIC PARTNER: If you have already registered for the Conference and you now want to register a companion (Spouse/Domestic Partner), follow the same process. Mouse over the REGISTRATION tab above and click on the NEW REGISTRATION item. (Note: there is no student category for the virtual conference.) When you get to the page where you specify the type of registration, select the $75 spouse/domestic partner registration option. You will then be asked for the name of the primary registrant. Enter the name of that person (as registered), and the process can then continue.

Modifying Existing Registrations

If you have already registered and want to make changes or add items, click on the ATTENDEE SERVICE CENTER tab. You will need to log in using the User ID and Password that were sent to you in your registration confirmation email message.

As the schedule of optional items is completed (almost all are already set), the registration form will be updated. Then you may use the ATTENDEE SERVICE CENTER to edit your record to select and to pay for those events.

Registration Types

For the virtual conference, there are two types of registration:

  • Full Conference (Primary and Spouse/Domestic Partner): Each registrant may participate in any program—but only one at a time. One can switch programs at any time, just as one could change rooms during the in-person conference, but one cannot be in two “rooms” at the same time.

A spouse/domestic partner is free to listen to the same programs as the primary registrant without a separate registration. The Spouse/Domestic Partner registration is intended for a situation in which the second person wants to be able to participate in a second program at the same time.

  • Limited Access: This no-cost registration gives the participant access to the IAJGS Annual Meeting & Awards, the IAJGS Leadership Seminars, the JewishGen Annual Meeting, and the Special Interest Group (SIG) and Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) meetings. It does not include access to any on-demand recorded programs.

There is no student category for the virtual conference.

Spouse/Domestic Partner Definition

The reduced “Spouse/Domestic Partner” registration fee applies only for spouses and domestic partners who reside in the same household. It does not apply for roommates, siblings, parents, children, or other relatives of the primary registrant, even if they live in the same household. The Conference reserves the right to verify the status of anyone registering in this category.
