|Your room must be guaranteed with a credit card. Reservations may be cancelled at no cost up to three days (72 hours) prior to 4:00 pm of the arrival date. Any reservation cancelled after that (or no-shows) will forfeit one night's room and tax.|
Special rates are available for Conference attendees. Rooms with one king bed or two double beds are available at a nightly rate of $229 for one or two guests, $249 for three guests, and $269 for four guests. There is an additional room tax of 13.3%. (The usual resort fee of $26 is waived, and Conference attendees will not receive resort privileges.) All rooms are non-smoking. Breakfast is not included.
All rooms reserved under the Conference rate will have complimentary standard Internet access. The rooms all have mini-refrigerators and safes.
Check-in time is 4:00 pm; check-out time is 11:00 am.
Attendees with disabilities who require accommodation with regard to their hotel rooms should communicate their needs directly to the hotel at the time they reserve their room.
The special rate covers a block of rooms set aside for arrivals as early as Thursday, August 6, 2020, and departures as late as the day after the Conference, Saturday, August 15, 2020. Please note that as the Conference room block fills up, the hotel may no longer offer rooms at the Conference rate for some of the dates.
In addition, based on guest room availability, the hotel will offer the special rate to Conference attendees during the three days before the Conference (i.e., arrivals as early as Tuesday, August 4) and three days after the Conference (i.e., departures as late as Tuesday, August 18).
The cut-off date for reserving rooms in our room block is Friday, July 17, 2020. After the cut-off date, or after all the rooms in our block have been reserved, whichever comes first, it will be at the hotel’s discretion whether to accept additional reservations, which may be at the prevailing rates (not the special Conference rate).[Return to Top]
The hotel has created a Web portal for reserving rooms online at the special Conference rate. When you click HERE, or go to hotel.iajgs2020.org, the special reservation site will open in another window or tab. For detailed information about the online reservations site, including screen captures, see the Reserve Online item under the HOTEL/TRAVEL tab.
If you are reserving a room with two double beds because you plan to find a roommate, you can book the room initially for single occupancy and then change the reservation later to add the additional person. [Note: for assistance in finding a roommate, write to firstname.lastname@example.org.]
The special site does not allow you to book for dates outside the range for our room block. If you need a room outside that range, you will have to make your reservation by phone (see below). You may also want to reserve by phone if you have critical special requests.[Return to Top]
To reserve a room by phone, call the hotel at 619-291-2900 or (toll-free) 877-734-2726. Tell the reservations agent that you are with the group "IAJGS".
