Getting To and From Cleveland
Driving
For those within 500 miles (possibly more) of Cleveland, driving by car is definitely a convenient and inexpensive option. Your GPS unit should give you good routing information. The trip from Chicago, for example, is about 350 miles and takes less than 6 hours.
Flying
One can fly through the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, located about 12 miles southwest of the Conference hotel. The airport is served by many airlines. See the Local Transportation section for information about getting between the airport and downtown.
If you fly a private plane, you can use the Burke Lakefront Airport, which is just 1.0 miles from the hotel—if you didn't have much luggage, you could walk! If you live in Cincinnati, you can take one of the twice-daily Ultimate Air Shuttle flights between Burke Lakefront Airport and Lunken Airport.
Train
Cleveland's Amtrak terminal, Lakefront Station at 200 Cleveland Memorial Shoreway, is right in front of the hotel. (Because the tracks are in between, the walking or driving distance is 0.7 miles.) You can plan your trip by train from HERE. From Chicago, for example, the trip takes between 6 and 7 hours.
Local Transportation in the Cleveland Area
To/From the Airports and Train Station
From Burke Lakefront Airport or Amtrak’s Lakefront Station, you would take a taxi, Uber, or Lyft (and you should tip the driver generously for having used him or her for such a short trip).
From Hopkins International Airport you certainly could take a taxi, Uber, or Lyft. The taxi fare would be about $36; an UberX ride would be around $22.

Local Public Transportation
