Track Descriptions

Learning Labs – Learning Labs are daylong sessions (8:30am-3:00pm) which allow for a deeper dive into the specified topics. Learning Labs include lunch.

Behavior – Sessions will provide tips and resources to support the behavioral needs of cats and dogs in the shelter and in the community.

Cats – Sessions cover strategies to bolster your impact for cats and build community support for your efforts. This track is sponsored by Tru-Catch.

Expo Studio – Sessions on various topics that will be presented live, and live streamed for a virtual audience.

Field Services – Sessions are aimed towards professionals such as field officers, outreach staff and humane investigators who provide a wide variety of community services including lost pet services, cruelty investigations, outreach/education and enforcing ordinances, laws and regulations.

Fundraising and Marketing – Sessions for those focused on relationship building, securing gifts, innovative fundraising ideas, and communicating your organization's services of value to the community.

Keeping Families Together – Hear from experts on programs and efforts that honor the bond between people and their pets and how to build an animal welfare movement that prioritizes keeping people and pets together. This track is sponsored by Petsmart Charities

Leadership – This track focuses on leadership skill-building and addressing current and future challenges. This track is sponsored by The Association for Animal Welfare Advancement. 

Operations – Sessions highlight best practices to work collaboratively, reduce animal intake and keep pets in homes, support your staff and volunteers, effectively utilize data in program development, and reduce the spread of disease and length of stay for shelter pets.

Pets for Life – Sessions will focus on approaches and best practices for animal welfare organizations and service providers on increasing equity in access to pet resources.

Veterinary Medicine – Sessions will focus on some of the latest trends in shelter and community medicine and ways to increase access to veterinary care for people and pets in need.

Working Together – This track focuses on partnerships, collaboration and working together including internally between staff and volunteers and externally between animal welfare organizations. This track is sponsored by Petfinder.
