Women of Color STEM Conference

Since 1995, Women of Color magazine´s annual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Conference has been the premier forum of choice for recognizing the significant contributions by women in STEM fields.

Pre-College Students

The Women of Color STEM Conference builds the STEM pipeline and expands influence into the pre-college student community in front of those who might not otherwise aspire toward a career in science, technology, engineering, or math due to social and economic barriers. Career Communications Group partners with STEM-related businesses, military personnel, and universities, uniting pre-college students through conference participation. Students share in hands-on, competitive activities that engage and challenge them to consider STEM careers as real options.

Who Should Attend

The pre-college program hosts middle school and high school students and chaperones on Friday, October 4 at the Cobo Center from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
