ATSSA’S 2026 ANNUAL CONVENTION & TRAFFIC EXPO

The #1 roadway safety infrastructure convention and expo is coming to Houston, Feb. 20-24, 2026. ATSSA is pleased to offer over 150 scholarships to public agency officials to attend our Annual Convention & Traffic Expo.

An exciting schedule is coming in 2026! Discover the latest safety solutions and pioneering innovations at ATSSA's Annual Convention & Traffic Expo. Take part in committee and council meetings, learn the latest industry trends in education sessions, explore the Traffic Expo floor with interactive booths and experiences, attend the General Session, and participate in various networking events and opportunities. We've received your feedback and improved our schedule to ensure it's our best event yet.

 

PUBLIC AGENCY SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
All public agency officials are encouraged to apply for a scholarship, however due to the limited number available, priority will be given to one representative per state transportation agency. Additional criteria will also be considered:

  • Active Associate: Public Agency ATSSA members (either Firm or Individual)
  • First time applicants
  • "Key decision makers" for respective agencies
  • Active with local ATSSA Chapter
  • Public agency officials that work in traffic safety/safety/work zones
  • Speakers at ATSSA’s 2026 education sessions
ATSSA also encourages public agency officials at local counties, cities and municipalities to apply. Although eligible to apply, previous recipients are encouraged to seek reimbursement from their respective agency.


MARTY WEED ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
In honor of Marty Weed, the ATSS Foundation is proud to offer two (2) scholarships to newer engineering public agency officials to attend the 2026 Convention & Traffic Expo. To apply and be eligible, applicants must meet ALL the following criteria:

  • Be employed by a public agency (city, county, state or federal) as an active Engineer, or practicing Engineer, or received their EIT or P.E. at the time the application is submitted AND
  • Have a MAXIMUM of seven (7) total years of engineering work experience AND
  • Specialize or have a strong interest in work zone safety and temporary traffic control.

*Work history may be reviewed to address unique situations.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD OVERVIEW
The scholarship benefits include:

Anyone arriving on Feb. 19 to participate in ATSS Foundation activities on Friday, Feb. 20, will be responsible for the hotel room and tax on the night of Thursday, Feb. 19.
Scholarships are non-transferable without prior written approval from ATSSA.


HOW TO APPLY
All applicants must complete the application via an online form. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted. Please complete this online application form and submit by Aug. 29, 2025. Scholarship applicants will be notified of the decision on or about Sept. 16, 2025.
