Tuesday, Feb 21, 2023	Tuesday, Feb 21, 2023 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM MST		Funding Low-cost, Immediate Safety Needs The Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG), which includes 27 cities and towns and three native nations, initiated the Roadway Safety Program (RSP) in 2019. The RSP utilizes DOT partnerships, creative funding and delivery mechanisms to finance low-cost, immediate safety needs. Explore how MAG developed and manages this program to make safety improvements in an expedited manner and reduce human impact of crashes on roadways region wide. Since the RSP was implemented, MAG has funded projects at 43 locations in nine local agency jurisdictions for a total of $8.9 million. Of these projects, 17 are complete, 12 are under construction and another 14 are in initiation phase.
